Home Sweet Home!
The long wait has come to an end and both babies are home. We have large dark bags under our eyes to prove it! It still feels weird to have them here and depending upon us for everything, no nurses to run to now. They are sharing a room that is just large enough to squeeze in both of their beds, a dresser, two bouncy seats ,two 4 1/2 foot oxygen tanks a rocking chair, 100 feet of tubing and two monitors. We still are not used to dealing with all of the tubes and cables floating around the room, I am not sure we will ever get to that point.
They both seem to be doing fine. We had one episode with Emelia today after her morning feeding. She spit up a bit and then choked which caused her to stop breathing and slow her heart rate enough to make all the alarms sound in the room. It is going to be a while before we don't worry about her.
We had our first appointment with the doctors today so we had to pack up all the equipment and hit the road. We looked pretty funny trying to each carry a car seat, oxygen tank and a monitor. When it was all said and done we made it through it and the twins came home and slept. Tyler is just about at 7lbs and Emelia has passed the 5lbs mark!
I am attaching some pictures, thank you all for your continual prayers for our family. As we look at the babies we are amazed to think how God has carried us through these last 3 1/2 months.
Trusting Him!
Cam,Kerry,Alyssa,Tori,Madi,Emelia and Tyler (wow what a list!)
